What are the requirements for using Harman Kardon Allure speaker?

There are a couple of things that you will need to install your Harman Kardon Allure speaker. 1. Amazon account (US, UK or Germany are the only ones supported now). 2. An Android device (Android 6.x and up) or Apple device (iOS 9.3 and up). 3. A Wi-Fi network with UPnP enabled. 4. Our HK Alexa setup app from the App store. If you have met all the criteria for installing your new Harman Kardon Allure speaker, then you are ready to enjoy a voice-activated speaker and great music!

What are the details for HDCP 2.2?

HDCP (High Definition Copy Protection) 2.2 will become mandatory for 4K/UHD content only. First source should be the 4K BD player announced at IFA for spring 2016 from Samsung. In case of HDCP 2.2, the whole chain needs to be compatible to work from source to AVR to TV. If one of the devices in the chain is not HDCP 2.2-compliant, the player will downscale the content to 1080p. No black screen. This is the theory, anyway. HDCP 2.2 is copy-protection, so it does not decode the signal, but is concerned with preserving the content from being copied and distributed on the internet. The problem of HDCP 2.2 is that it is hardware-based, and not software-based, so there is nothing we can do on our existing models, like any other AVR manufacturer or TV. Please note that self-produced 4K material is no problem, since self-produced material has no digital HDCP copy protection. Only streamed material and UHD-Blu-ray will not work, since the HDCP protection will stop the signal in the receiver.

The setup process fails with a device running Android 7.0 or higher for my OMNI+ speaker, how can I make it connect?

If you experience a problem with setup using an Android 7.0 or higher device, please perform the following steps: First, force stop the HK Controller app from running in background. Second, go to your phone or tablet Wi-Fi settings, find the Omni speaker setup Wi-Fi network, and select “Forget Network”.Third, reopen the HK Controller app and begin the setup process again. After performing these steps, you will be able to complete the setup process for your speakers.

There is an upgrade socket on the back panel. How is this socket used, and which kind of cable must I buy to use it?

Although the owner's manual states that owner can use this connector for home upgrade procedure, this is not so. The USB-connector used cannot be bought in commercially available cables, and the port must be considered for technician's use only.

Sometimes my Chromecast enabled streaming app cannot see my Citation speaker. What should I do?

"In certain network conditions, your speaker may not be visible from your streaming app. You can still use voice control to start & control playback. If you wish to use your phone app to control playback, please power cycle your Citation speaker and your phone."

2. Verify that you are connected to the right Wi-Fi network on your smartphone.
3. Open your Google Home app .
4. Enable Bluetooth
5. First option Tap Add Set up device Set up new devices in your home
6. Second option Tap X device found Select Home location
7. Follow the instruction on screen to add your new Harman Kardon Citation speaker.

Re-broadcasting any TV or Movie signal from your OMNI BAR+ or ADAPT+

No, that is not possible. However, you can create a 5.1 wireless surround system to extend your TV or movie sound. All you need is two additional OMNI+ speakers, such as 2 x OMNI 10+, OMNI 20+ or OMNI 50+.

Pairing issues with a Computer or PC

In most cases when a Computer/PC/Laptop has issues connecting to a Bluetooth device (Portable speaker, Headphones, Active speakers), it's caused by your Computer/PC/Laptop's Bluetooth driver (software).

The driver (software) should support the following Bluetooth protocols, to be able to play music/sound from your Computer/PC/Laptop:

• A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) driver for your Computer/PC/Headphones to transfer music.

• AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile) driver to send skip/forward/pause/play music to your device

Always get the latest driver version available for your Computer/PC/Laptop.

To download the correct driver (software), visit the manufacturer's website of your Computer/PC/Laptop. They usually have a "Support/Download" section where you can find the correct driver. Otherwise, we advise you to contact their support.

The standard drivers provided by Microsoft/Windows system are not correct and will result in error messages (such as having to enter a PIN code), or pairing will not work.

One of my OMNI+ speakers keeps disconnecting from my Wi-Fi network

- Try to disconnect some devices from your Wi-Fi network. Some routers may have weak performance, which can cause issues and poor connection to all devices in your network. - If your router supports 5Ghz ( 802.11N or AC ) and you have devices that are capable of using 5 GHz Wi-Fi then switch to that specific network for best performance. - If you have a lot of ( Legacy / older than 5 years ) devices on 2.4GHz network, try limiting them to max. 6 connected simultaneously
