To prevent other people from changing the source on your BDS through Bluetooth, you can disable the “Automatic Playback” function in the System Settings of the BDS ( 280, 580, 280S and 580S ). This does not prevent others from connecting to one of the two Bluetooth receivers in the BDS units, but it prevents other people from “interrupting” your playback source. This is where the change is done: Settings – System Settings Automatic Playback ( Enable/Disable ) Enabled: People can connect to your BDS and start playing music/audio. Your BDS will automatically change source ( or switch on, when BDS is in Standby mode ) from any source. Disabled: People can connect to your BDS, but the BDS will not automatically change source, or go out of Standby mode when a music/audio signal is sent through Bluetooth.

We have some suggestions if you want to enjoy the best performance from your Bluetooth devices. 1. Please note that if you have a large number of Apps open in your smartphone or tablet, this may block or overtax its processor. Dropouts may result. Try to close all or most active apps. This should solve the problem. 2. Bluetooth signals from smartphones and tablets are not very strong. Make sure that the signal does not have to pass through doors, walls etc. Always maintain a clear line of sight between transmitter and receiver. 3. Do not carry your smartphone in your pocket, if you have dropouts. Your body can act as a screen, reducing the strength of the Bluetooth signal. Put the phone on a table or other surface. 4. Do not walk around while listening. If the transmitter and the receiver are moved in relation to each other, dropouts occur more frequently. 5. Under normal circumstances, you can expect a range of 5 meters with no problems, if you follow the above advice. In some instances range is longer, but we cannot promise this.

That is easy, simply say "Alexa, mute" or "Alexa, mute music". To resume playback if needed, say "Alexa, resume playback".

Once the speaker/soundbar is connected to the network, software updates will automatically be sent to the product through Wi-Fi or the internet, if available

For Citation ONE, Citation 100, Citation Sub and Citation Surround, Press and hold the RESET button on the speaker for 5 seconds. For Citation 300, Citation 500, Citation Bar and Citation Tower, Press and hold the RESET button on the speaker for 5 seconds, or select the Factory Reset option in the touch screen settings menu.

Press the Bluetooth source button on your BDS remote. In the right top corner of your TV screen, there should be a button called "Pair". Jump to the "Pair button" to perform pairing by using the arrow keys on your remote control. Click OK while being on the pair button. Once pressed, a pop-up screen will appear, this indicates pairing mode is active for 3 minutes. Go to Bluetooth settings on your mobile device, find the BDS in the list and connect. If you want to pair a second device, please repeat the procedure to activate pairing mode.

You can delete specific voice recordings associated with your account by going to History in Settings in the Alexa App, drilling down for a specific entry, and then tapping the delete button. Or, you can delete all voice recordings associated with your account for your Harman Kardon Allure speaker, by selecting the applicable product at the Manage Your Content and Devices page at www.amazon.com/mycd. and deleting voice recordings. However, this may degrade your Alexa experience.

If you are experiencing issues getting the app to communicate with your headphones, (assuming you have already paired the headphones with the device) go into the communication apps audio settings. You will likely find the resolution there. You may have to set your headphones as the ‘communication device’ within the app you are using.

Both Enchant 800 and Enchant 1300 support these:

• HDMI 2.0b compliance
• HDCP 2.2 compliance (Means it supports 4K Blue-Ray Movies or streaming clients with 4K encryption)

CEC Support

CEC support only available through your HDMI connection and we are always using standard protocol for our products.
We support these:

• System Standby: When you press the "Power off" button on your TV remote, the Enchant soundbar will go into Standby mode as well.
• ARC or called Audio Return Channel: If you would have a TV BOX connected directly to your TV and using ARC from TV to Enchant soundbar, then all sound will be transferred through ARC connection.
  • In case you are not using the HDMI ARC connection then sound coming from the TV show will not be transferred to the Enchant soundbar.
• System Audio Control: Using your TV remote to turn up or lower the volume will be synchronized with the Enchant soundbar.

Bigger model is the Enchant 1300 and smaller model is the Enchant 800.

The Citation Amp works with Chromecast built-in (audio only), and also works with Hey Google products. For example, you can use voice commands to tell your other Google speakers to play music on Citation Amp.

To reset the device to its factory settings: 
Power on the speaker. While on, press and hold the power button down for 15-20 seconds until the speaker turns off.

Now that the speaker has been reset, make sure to remove it from your BT settings if it was once paired to other devices as the BT memory has been reset as well. Once you turn the speaker on again, it should automatically enter into pairing mode with a flashing LED. It should pop up on your discoverable devices under your BT settings and connect within a few seconds.

Every home is different, so it is difficult to provide a universal guide that suits it all. What you can do is check the number of available access points in your home by performing a Wi-Fi network scan using a mobile device. Then select the Wi-Fi channel that isn't as busy as the rest. Also, check how much noise each speaker has using the Harman Kardon Controller app. Simply go into the settings menu and select "Send us feedback" to see the results, signals between -40 dB and -62 dB are considered good.

Harman Kardon Allure/portable will only work in selected countries such as United States, Germany, United Kingdom and soon France. To use the Allure on your network requires two different apps. 1. HK Alexa setup - To connect it to your Wi-Fi network (Only available in the countries above) 2. Amazon Alexa app - To control Alexa and add streaming services to your Allure speaker. However, in some countries, French, German or English is spoken, but you still cannot use the Allure, because the Amazon Alexa app cannot be downloaded. This is a decision made by Amazon. The Alexa app is only available in some countries, and this is not only dependent on language. Therefore, if you plan on buying an Allure speaker, and have it shipped to a country outside the selected regions, you will not be able to use it on Wi-Fi, and Alexa voice commands will not work. Only Amazon knows if and when they will extend the app availability to more countries.

The Harman/Kardon SB20 is an easy connectable soundbar for your TV. It only has outputs for TV connection, and we advise to connect all other HDMI sources to your TV instead.

No, the Citation speaker does not store any conversations, it listens only for a few seconds and then deletes the file. Only when using "OK, Google" or "Hey, Google" will it start recording your question in order for Google Assistant to fulfill your request. You can always delete all your recordings via "My activity" settings under your Google Account.

PureVoice is designed to work with audio on the HDMI input. It is not active for Wi-Fi music or Bluetooth sources.
 

Bluetooth keeps on playing, even if you connect something and play to the AUX input. BT keeps on playing, since it has first priority. If you pause or stop BT play, any source playing to the AUX input will now be heard. If you resume play on the BT source, it will take over, and the AUX source is no longer heard, but will of course keep on playing, since there is no way to send a pause or stop signal to the AUX source via the line cable. All of this means that there is an input selector switch built into the device, controlled by the BT play function.

The Harman Kardon Allure speaker listens for the hotword "Alexa", and when our speaker detects it then it will open up a connection to the Amazon server and store your search history on your account. You can mute the mircrophone by tapping the Microphone button on the Allure speaker, this will stop the speaker from listening and will not react to Alexa until you unmute it.

It is possible to connect a turntable to the AUX input of the Radiance 2400. Depending on the turntables output specifications, a phono-preamplifier will in most cases be necessary to connect in-between.

The ADAPT+ is made to connect an external subwoofer. The subwoofer needs to be an active device, which means that it must have its own, built-in amplifier.

The BDS 235 and 535 owner's manual states that you need an ADAPT to make your system wireless. You do it by connecting the BDS system's analog outputs to the ADAPT's analog AUX input. The ADAPT will then re-stream to your OMNI speakers wirelessly. However, if you listen to the OMNI speakers, and want to listen to the music directly from the BDS system at the same time, there will be a delay in the sound from the OMNI speakers. The BDS speakers will play the music first, and since the ADAPT needs to process the data wirelessly, a delay results. To avoid delay, please mute the BDS system, or connect from the ADAPT line-out to the BDS AUX in instead of the other way around. With this setup, you can only play to the BDS from an OMNI speaker, which will not be delayed in sound.

The Harman Kardon Radiance 2400 is a 2.1 sound system. With it's unique sound characteristics and sound dispersion, it can fill a large room with high quality sound. 

You have the option to turn the Noise Cancellation on and off by using the switch that is located on the right side of the NC box. When choosing the switch option, you will see a green light inside the the switch will indicate that the Noise Cancelation is on. To turn off the Noise Cancelation, move the switch down towards the cable and the green light will turn off. When charging this device with the micro USB charging cable included in the packaging, you will see the light turn orange to indicate that it is charging.

Wireless dual sound can be used to pair two speakers which has the wireless dual sound technology, Which are Aura Studio 2, GO+PLAY, Onyx studio 3, Onyx mini. Please note: Dual Wireless Sound only has the capability to connect no more than 2 speakers at a time. NOTE: The Onyx Studio 5, which also has Dual Wireless Sound, can NOT be used together with other products which feature DWS. Only 2 Onyx Studio 5's can pair with eachother.

There is a buffer inside the speakers that processes the incoming signal. This buffer delays the audio signal compared to the video signal, causing a delay. For this, we do not recommend using Omni+ speakers with a TV. Our Omni bar will work with your TV sound and you can create wireless 5.1 surround sound system with the Omni bar.
