Can i check my software version for ESQUIRE 2?

Yes, press and hold microphone mute button & volume - button at the same time. A voice will speak up some numbers, that indicate the current software version in your ESQUIRE 2.

Yes, simply press and hold Volume + & phone button at the same time. When the unit is reset, it will power off, and turn on the unit again, and it is reset.

Does my ESQUIRE2 requires any specific Bluetooth driver for my PC?

ESQUIRE2 support A2DP Audio Codec, and normally that is enough for a Bluetooth driver to make it work with your PC. You will have to find a Bluetooth driver that supports A2DP Audio Codec.

I cannot connect to my ESQUIRE2 anymore via Bluetooth, what can i do?

Try reset the ESQUIRE2 speaker. Press and hold Volume + & phone button at the same time. When the unit is reset, it will power off, and turn on the unit again, and it is reset. Go into your Bluetooth device list and delete the ESQUIRE2 from your list. Now Bluetooth pair with it again. If the unit still do not work as intended, please contact our helpdesk.

I have multiple ESQUIRE 2, the Bluetooth name is the same. Can i change the name?

No, the Bluetooth name is fixed and not changeable. If you have multiple ESQUIRE2 in your Bluetooth list, and when activating one of them, it should be the "first" on your Bluetooth list.

I just upgraded to Windows 10. I cannot get any sound to my ESQUIRE2, why is that?

To use our ESQUIRE2 with your Windows system, you'll need to find a Bluetooth driver that supports A2DP Audio codec. HARMAN do not have these and therefore you will need to contact your PC manufacturer.

In your specification sheet for ESQUIRE2. It says that is has A2DP profile, which codec is supported?

Our A2DP profile only support SBC Codec for ESQUIRE 2.

Is it possible to charge a smartphone or tablet that is connected to the ESQUIRE 2?

Yes, when the Esquire 2 is switched ON, it can charge a smartphone or tablet (or other USB-chargeable device that matches) through the special USB port. This function is available both when Esquire 2 is running on battery, and when connected to a charging port itself.
