  • Can OMNI stream FM radio or TV audio from one OMNI to another OMNI?
    This is not supported at this time, but the upcoming Omni+ speakers will support Google Chromecast built-in, which has support for many Internet radio services such as TuneIn Radio.
  • Can the speaker be used with Bluetooth without setting up Voice Assistant?
    JBL Playlist: Yes, it can be used with Bluetooth out of the box, and also Chromecast (setup is done via Google Home, but speaker does not have Google Assistant built-in) JBL Link Bar: Yes, it can be used with Bluetooth and Chromecast after setting the bar up with a Google account - choosing not to activate the Google Assistant. JBL Link Music: No, this speaker requires setup via Google Home JBL Link Portable: No, this speaker requires setup via Google Home JBL Link 10, 20 and Link View: No, these speakers requires setup via Google Home Harman Kardon Citation series: No, this speaker requires setup via Google Home Harman Kardon Allure: Yes, Bluetooth is available from factory settings.     We are sorry, but this is not possible, neither as software upgrade nor as mechanical modification.
  • Can Wireless dual sound be used in connection with other products?
    Wireless dual sound can be used to pair two speakers which has the wireless dual sound technology, Which are Aura Studio 2, GO+PLAY, Onyx studio 3, Onyx mini. Please note: Dual Wireless Sound only has the capability to connect no more than 2 speakers at a time. NOTE: The Onyx Studio 5, which also has Dual Wireless Sound, can NOT be used together with other products which feature DWS. Only 2 Onyx Studio 5's can pair with eachother.
  • Can you turn the noise canceling option on and off on SOHO II NC?
    You have the option to turn the Noise Cancellation on and off by using the switch that is located on the right side of the NC box. When choosing the switch option, you will see a green light inside the the switch will indicate that the Noise Cancelation is on. To turn off the Noise Cancelation, move the switch down towards the cable and the green light will turn off. When charging this device with the micro USB charging cable included in the packaging, you will see the light turn orange to indicate that it is charging.
  • Center channel or surround speakers
    It is not possible to connect further speakers (center or rear) to the system.

  • CITATION SERIES: WiSA Technology & Compatibility

    General information about WiSA:

    WiSA is a wireless system designed specifically for audio and speakers. An audio system that incorporates WiSA technology has it's own internal wireless system. It is capable of doing 96kHz/24bit audio with an audio latency of only 5ms, virtually undetectable by the human ear.

    For more information on WiSA technology, please go to the official WiSA website.

    If a product is WiSA Certified, it can be used with any other WiSA certified product. For example a WiSA Ready TV with at transmitter.
    Note: The overall sound quality is dependent on the processing and setup in the WiSA TV & transmitter, and may result in a performance (EQ, crossover and levels) not intended by the speaker manufacturer. To be sure that the Citation products sound the best, use a Citation Bar product as the main "hub".

    Limitations:

    WiSA does not offer 3D audio formats like Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X yet, so at the moment it is limited to 5.1 or 7.1 Dolby Digital. So regardless of which brand of WiSA speaker you choose, Dolby Atmos will not be available yet.
  • Connecting ADAPT to the analog output of my BDS, delay occurs between OMNI sound and BDS speaker sound. How come?
    The BDS 235 and 535 owner's manual states that you need an ADAPT to make your system wireless. You do it by connecting the BDS system's analog outputs to the ADAPT's analog AUX input. The ADAPT will then re-stream to your OMNI speakers wirelessly. However, if you listen to the OMNI speakers, and want to listen to the music directly from the BDS system at the same time, there will be a delay in the sound from the OMNI speakers. The BDS speakers will play the music first, and since the ADAPT needs to process the data wirelessly, a delay results. To avoid delay, please mute the BDS system, or connect from the ADAPT line-out to the BDS AUX in instead of the other way around. With this setup, you can only play to the BDS from an OMNI speaker, which will not be delayed in sound.
  • Connecting any subwoofer to the ADAPT+ sub-out port
    The ADAPT+ is made to connect an external subwoofer. The subwoofer needs to be an active device, which means that it must have its own, built-in amplifier.
  • Connecting a turntable
    It is possible to connect a turntable to the AUX input of the Radiance 2400. Depending on the turntables output specifications, a phono-preamplifier will in most cases be necessary to connect in-between.
  • Connecting the remote control
    If the remote control stopped working, please check if the batteries are drained. If so, replace them with new ones.

    The remote control may have failed to connect with the digital hub. On the touchscreen, tap “Options” > “Remote Control”, then follow the onscreen instructions to pair with the digital hub again.

  • Deezer shows an error message when I open it in the HK Controller app.
    If you encounter an "Internal error 300" error message when using Deezer from inside our HK Controller app, we advise you to log out of your account and log in again, still in the Controller app. The error message is a communication error between speaker and Deezer server. If you still encounter this after you have logged in again, please consult our helpdesk.
  • Differences between a traditional loudspeaker system and the Radiance speaker with CBT
    Harman Kardon Radiance 2400 uses patented Constant Beamwidth Technology (CBT) with 24 drivers to create an all-new listening experience. Typical loudspeakers have very narrow sound dispersion in the mid-range and high frequencies, making a very narrow sweet spot for one listener. On the other hand, CBT delivers room-filling sound dispersion and a resulting wide sweet spot, so everyone in the room has great listening experience. The use of CBT allowed us to reduce the cabinet size dramatically. This resulted in a very sleek loudspeaker that does not compromise on sound but looks even better when compared to bulky wooden floor-standing speakers in combination with large AV components.

  • Does a Bluetooth signal wake up the Aura?
    Yes, no matter if Aura is in Sleep mode or Standby mode, an incoming Bluetooth signal will wake it up.
  • Does Adapt stream music to my speakers?
    The Adapt connects to an active speaker or amplifier via the 3.5mm Audio Out jack. It acts a receiving point for Wi-Fi audio streams, upgrading existing audio equipment to work in the Harman Kardon Wireless HD Audio System.
  • Does Harman Kardon Allure support phone calls using the Alexa app?
    No, this feature is not yet embedded into our Harman Kardon Allure speaker. Future updates might include this feature, therefore keep an eye on the release notes in our HK Alexa setup app.
  • Does Harman Volume on SB20 have more than one level?
    Yes, there are three settings: high, low and off.
  • Does my ESQUIRE2 requires any specific Bluetooth driver for my PC?
    ESQUIRE2 support A2DP Audio Codec, and normally that is enough for a Bluetooth driver to make it work with your PC. You will have to find a Bluetooth driver that supports A2DP Audio Codec.
  • Does my Harman Kardon Allure speaker listen all the time?
    The Harman Kardon Allure speaker listens for the hotword "Alexa", and when our speaker detects it then it will open up a connection to the Amazon server and store your search history on your account. You can mute the mircrophone by tapping the Microphone button on the Allure speaker, this will stop the speaker from listening and will not react to Alexa until you unmute it.
  • Does my speaker have an input selector, or are Bluetooth and AUX signals playing simultaneously?
    Bluetooth keeps on playing, even if you connect something and play to the AUX input. BT keeps on playing, since it has first priority. If you pause or stop BT play, any source playing to the AUX input will now be heard. If you resume play on the BT source, it will take over, and the AUX source is no longer heard, but will of course keep on playing, since there is no way to send a pause or stop signal to the AUX source via the line cable. All of this means that there is an input selector switch built into the device, controlled by the BT play function.
  • Does PureVoice work with music?
    PureVoice is designed to work with audio on the HDMI input. It is not active for Wi-Fi music or Bluetooth sources.
     
  • Does splashproof mean, that I can place the speaker in my bathroom?
    Splash proof does not mean the speaker is suitable for bathroom placement, but it does provide protection against sudden exposure.
  • Does the ADAPT output stereo to an external audio system?
    Yes, the ADAPT outputs stereo audio via the line-level, 3.5mm stereo mini-jack output.
  • Does the Aura Studio 2 support Harman Dual Sound?
    Yes, The Harman Kardon Aura Studio 2 supports Harman Dual Sound. With this feature, you can connect 2 Dual Sound enabled speakers with eachother.
  • Does the Aura Studio 2 support Siri or Google Now?
    Yes, When connected by Bluetooth from an iOS or Android device, pressing and holding the Bluetooth button for more than 2 seconds on the Aura Studio 2, the Voice Command will open ( iOS > Siri, Android > Google Now )
  • Does the Aura Studio 2 support social mode?
    Yes, The Harman Kardon Aura Studio supports Social mode. With this feature, you can connect up to 3 mobile devices simultaneously by Bluetooth. The last device to start playback will take over.
  • Does the Citation MultiBeam 1100 have voice assistant?
    The product does not have a built-in voice assistant. However, the product works with other voice-enabled products supporting Google Voice Assistant or Amazon Alexa.
  • Does the Citation speaker record all my conversations?
    No, the Citation speaker does not store any conversations, it listens only for a few seconds and then deletes the file. Only when using "OK, Google" or "Hey, Google" will it start recording your question in order for Google Assistant to fulfill your request. You can always delete all your recordings via "My activity" settings under your Google Account.
  • Does the Harman/Kardon SB20 have any input sources?
    The Harman/Kardon SB20 is an easy connectable soundbar for your TV. It only has outputs for TV connection, and we advise to connect all other HDMI sources to your TV instead.
  • Does the Harman Kardon Allure/portable work in any country?
    Harman Kardon Allure/portable will only work in selected countries such as United States, Germany, United Kingdom and soon France. To use the Allure on your network requires two different apps. 1. HK Alexa setup - To connect it to your Wi-Fi network (Only available in the countries above) 2. Amazon Alexa app - To control Alexa and add streaming services to your Allure speaker. However, in some countries, French, German or English is spoken, but you still cannot use the Allure, because the Amazon Alexa app cannot be downloaded. This is a decision made by Amazon. The Alexa app is only available in some countries, and this is not only dependent on language. Therefore, if you plan on buying an Allure speaker, and have it shipped to a country outside the selected regions, you will not be able to use it on Wi-Fi, and Alexa voice commands will not work. Only Amazon knows if and when they will extend the app availability to more countries.
  • Does the Harman Kardon Allure support text messaging?
    No, this feature is not supported in our Harman Kardon Allure speaker. This might change with future updates. You can write text messages to your Amazon friends via the Alexa app.
  • Does the OMNI BAR+ support 4K movies?
    No, since the OMNI BAR+ does not have any HDMI input connections, it is only your source, connected to the TV, (and of course your TV) that need to be 4K compatible.
  • Does the OMNI BAR+ support remote control learning?
    Yes, press and hold the Surround button on the OMNI BAR+ until it starts to blink amber. You are now in pairing mode. Press Volume+ on your OMNI BAR+, then press Volume+ on your remote control. The surround button will quickly flash white, to indicate it has learned Volume+. Repeat for Volume-, and Mute, and then hold down the Surround button to exit remote control learning.
  • Does the SB20 soundbar have on-screen display (OSD) to check volume etc?
    No, the HDMI connection is used for audio return channel only, there is no on-screen display function to show settings on the TV screen.
  • Does this feature a microphone?
    Yes, this headphone features a one button microphone that gives you the ability to pause/play, skip tracks, and answer/hang up phone calls.
  • Do you have a guide that explains the best placement for the OMNI+ speakers in a house?
    Every home is different, so it is difficult to provide a universal guide that suits it all. What you can do is check the number of available access points in your home by performing a Wi-Fi network scan using a mobile device. Then select the Wi-Fi channel that isn't as busy as the rest. Also, check how much noise each speaker has using the Harman Kardon Controller app. Simply go into the settings menu and select "Send us feedback" to see the results, signals between -40 dB and -62 dB are considered good.
  • Do you need a phone to use Vi?
    Yes, a phone with GPS capabilities is needed so that the Vi Fitness app can start and stop workouts, track biometrics, measure and store data, track features like elevation and location, and play music during training. We support iOS (9+) and Android OS (Lollipop +) devices however we recommend having the latest OS on any device for the best Vi experience.
  • Dual Wireless Sound Information
    The Onyx Studio 7 features Dual Wireless Sound which allows you to connect two Onyx Studio 7 speakers together for a more powerful listening experience. Please note: You cannot connect the Onyx Studio 7 to other Onyx Studio speakers such as the Onyx Studio 6 and 5. 
  • During Wireless Dual Sound mode, why is there an interruption when music starts playing via Bluetooth?
    It's normal that music will be interrupted for one or two seconds when entering Wireless Dual Sound mode. The two compatible speakers are synchronizing with each other during this connection process. Once they are in sync you will not experience any further interruption.
  • Factory Reset Instructions
    To reset the device to its factory settings: 
    Power on the speaker. While on, press and hold the power button down for 15-20 seconds until the speaker turns off.

    Now that the speaker has been reset, make sure to remove it from your BT settings if it was once paired to other devices as the BT memory has been reset as well. Once you turn the speaker on again, it should automatically enter into pairing mode with a flashing LED. It should pop up on your discoverable devices under your BT settings and connect within a few seconds. 
  • Google compatibility
    The Citation Amp works with Chromecast built-in (audio only), and also works with Hey Google products. For example, you can use voice commands to tell your other Google speakers to play music on Citation Amp.

    HDMI Input

    Enchant features only 1 x HDMI input, and Enchant has 3 x HDMI inputs and support this:
    • HDMI 2.0b.
    • HDCP 2.2 for all HDMI input connections (Means it supports 4K Blue-Ray Movies or streaming clients with 4K encryption)
    • 4K Pass-through.

    CEC Support

    CEC support only available through your HDMI connection and we are always using standard protocol for our products.
    We support these:
    • System Standby: When you press the "Power off" button on your TV remote, the Enchant soundbar will go into Standby mode as well.
    • ARC or called Audio Return Channel: If you would have a TV BOX connected directly to your TV and using ARC from TV to Enchant soundbar, then all sound will be transferred through ARC connection.
      • In case you are not using the HDMI ARC connection then sound coming from the TV show will not be transferred to the Enchant soundbar.
    • System Audio Control: Using your TV remote to turn up or lower the volume will be synchronized with the Enchant soundbar.
    Both models
    Bigger model is the Enchant 1300 and smaller model is the Enchant 800.
  • Headphones & Third Party Communication Apps (Skype, Zoom, WhatsApp, etc)

    If you are experiencing issues getting the app to communicate with your headphones, (assuming you have already paired the headphones with the device) go into the communication apps audio settings. You will likely find the resolution there. You may have to set your headphones as the ‘communication device’ within the app you are using. 

  • How can I delete my voice interactions with Harman Kardon Allure?
    You can delete specific voice recordings associated with your account by going to History in Settings in the Alexa App, drilling down for a specific entry, and then tapping the delete button. Or, you can delete all voice recordings associated with your account for your Harman Kardon Allure speaker, by selecting the applicable product at the Manage Your Content and Devices page at www.amazon.com/mycd. and deleting voice recordings. However, this may degrade your Alexa experience.
  • How can I enable Bluetooth on my BDSx35 device?
    Press the Bluetooth source button on your BDS remote. In the right top corner of your TV screen, there should be a button called "Pair". Jump to the "Pair button" to perform pairing by using the arrow keys on your remote control. Click OK while being on the pair button. Once pressed, a pop-up screen will appear, this indicates pairing mode is active for 3 minutes. Go to Bluetooth settings on your mobile device, find the BDS in the list and connect. If you want to pair a second device, please repeat the procedure to activate pairing mode.
  • How can I factory reset my Citation device?
    For Citation ONE, Citation 100, Citation Sub and Citation Surround, Press and hold the RESET button on the speaker for 5 seconds. For Citation 300, Citation 500, Citation Bar and Citation Tower, Press and hold the RESET button on the speaker for 5 seconds, or select the Factory Reset option in the touch screen settings menu.
  • How can I get a software update?

    Once the speaker/soundbar is connected to the network, software updates will automatically be sent to the product through Wi-Fi or the internet, if available

  • How can I mute the music playing without touching the Harman Kardon Allure speaker?
    That is easy, simply say "Alexa, mute" or "Alexa, mute music". To resume playback if needed, say "Alexa, resume playback".
  • How can I obtain the best Bluetooth performance for my AURA?
    We have some suggestions if you want to enjoy the best performance from your Bluetooth devices. 1. Please note that if you have a large number of Apps open in your smartphone or tablet, this may block or overtax its processor. Dropouts may result. Try to close all or most active apps. This should solve the problem. 2. Bluetooth signals from smartphones and tablets are not very strong. Make sure that the signal does not have to pass through doors, walls etc. Always maintain a clear line of sight between transmitter and receiver. 3. Do not carry your smartphone in your pocket, if you have dropouts. Your body can act as a screen, reducing the strength of the Bluetooth signal. Put the phone on a table or other surface. 4. Do not walk around while listening. If the transmitter and the receiver are moved in relation to each other, dropouts occur more frequently. 5. Under normal circumstances, you can expect a range of 5 meters with no problems, if you follow the above advice. In some instances range is longer, but we cannot promise this.
  • How can I prevent outsiders from playing music through my BDS via Bluetooth?
    To prevent other people from changing the source on your BDS through Bluetooth, you can disable the “Automatic Playback” function in the System Settings of the BDS ( 280, 580, 280S and 580S ). This does not prevent others from connecting to one of the two Bluetooth receivers in the BDS units, but it prevents other people from “interrupting” your playback source. This is where the change is done: Settings – System Settings Automatic Playback ( Enable/Disable ) Enabled: People can connect to your BDS and start playing music/audio. Your BDS will automatically change source ( or switch on, when BDS is in Standby mode ) from any source. Disabled: People can connect to your BDS, but the BDS will not automatically change source, or go out of Standby mode when a music/audio signal is sent through Bluetooth.
  • How can I reconfigure the Wi-Fi for my Harman Kardon Allure speaker?
    Press and hold the "Microphone off" button for 5 seconds. The Allure speaker will tell you when it is ready to be configured.
  • How can I reset my Omni+ speaker(s)?
    There is a reset button on the bottom of the Omni+ devices. Press and hold this button for 5 seconds to perform a factory reset of your product. All product settings, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connections will be erased. To reset the OMNI 50+ speaker, please do the following: First, press & hold ‘Source’, ‘Vol+’, ‘Vol-‘ buttons at the same time. The Omni 50+ will switched off, indicating that the product was successful reset. Secondly, press ‘power' button to turn on power for the Omni 50+ speaker. Now you can easily set up the product again for your home Wi-Fi network.
  • How can I reset my OMNI 50+ speaker. The reset button does not work?
    The reset procedure is quite different from the rest of the OMNI+ series. To reset the OMNI 50+ speaker, please do the following: First, press & hold ‘Source’, ‘Vol+’, ‘Vol-‘ buttons at the same time. The Omni 50+ will switched off, indicating that the product was successful reset. Secondly, press ‘power' button to turn on power for the Omni 50+ speaker. Now you can easily set up the product again for your home Wi-Fi network.
  • How can I reset my OMNI BAR+?
    On the back of your OMNI BAR+ there is a reset button. Hold it down for 5 seconds, until the round button LED lights up in white. The product is now reset and ready to be set up again.
  • How can I see if the battery is charging, and when it is fully charged?
    With the Onyx Studio 2 switched ON, the ON/OFF switch light flashes while the unit is charging. If the unit is switched OFF, no indication shows that charging is taking place, but charging still takes place. When charging is complete, the light becomes constant. There is no battery status indication, so it is not possible to follow the power level of the battery.
  • How can I see which firmware version is installed on my Aura Studio 2?
    By pressing and holding the "Volume+" and "Bluetooth" button together for 5 seconds. A voice will say the version number.
